Paola Torselli

Paola is a native Spanish-speaker, fully bilingual. She was born in Guatemala City and spent her High School years living in Venezuela. Paola is an experienced Attorney and successful Mediator both in Spanish and in English. She has lived in Georgia since 1993, and obtained her law degree at Georgia State University College of Law in February of 1998. During her law school days, Paola worked for the Fulton County Juvenile Court, and volunteered as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate), advocating for children’s safety and well-being.

Paola began her legal career in 1998 as a criminal defense trial attorney, with the DeKalb County Public Defender’s Office until mid-2012, zealously representing clients charged with misdemeanors, felonies and juveniles prosecuted as adults (SB440).

In June of 2012, Paola opened the doors to Torselli Law Firm, LLC, learning Family Law, to grow her practice. She has successfully guided and represented clients in cases involving divorce, legitimation, child support, family law modification and child custody/parenting time, as well as defending protective orders. You will find Paola as a caring and compassionate advocate, working with her clients to find solutions for their family law problems.

Paola has been a certified Mediator since 2021, specializing in serving as a neutral in Family Law cases. Her fluency in Spanish is an asset as a mediator. She works diligently and respectfully with all parties at mediation, toward a peaceful resolution, to remove the stress and financial expense that comes from litigation.

Paola’s life and legal experience have provided invaluable skills, partnered with preparation and clear communication to help her clients through their cases. She will work hard to reach amicable resolutions when possible, understanding that going to trial is financially and emotionally draining for families. In the instances where litigation is necessary, she is a skilled trial attorney, working with knowledge and ease in the courtroom. Organizations: Paola attended the National Criminal Defense College (NCDC) in 2002. She is an active member of the DeKalb County Bar Association, the Gwinnett County Bar Association, The Georgia Hispanic Bar Association, the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution, the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers (GAWL), the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (GACDL) and is affiliated as a mediator with Cobb County, Gwinnett County and the 9th Judicial Administrative District.
