Areas of Practice

Divorce

Divorce is the dissolution of your marriage, an emotional and stressful time in anyone’s life. We provide clear and supportive representation in your divorce, helping you navigate through division of assets, debts, real property and making decisions about custody, parenting time and child support. We will keep you informed in every step of your case, as well as guide you through the legal process.

Areas where we can help you:

• Contested or Uncontested Divorce
 • Custody, Parenting Time and Child Support
 • Division of Assets, Debts and Property

Bilingual Mediator

We provide a calm, clear and neutral voice.  Mediation is a process where the parties in a lawsuit, with the assistance of a neutral or mediator, and sometimes attorneys, work to reach an agreement. Mediation is a largely confidential process. Once an agreement is reached at mediation, you may not need to go to Court to litigate and thus avoid the stress and financial expense of a hearing or trial.

We can provide safe space for you to:

• Express your position and feel heard
 • Discuss your case through a mediator, to work toward a resolution
 • Create a Mediated Agreement to memorialize agreed-upon terms

Legitimation and Paternity

A Legitimation or Paternity case is necessary when parties with minor children, who have never been legally married to each other, end their relationship. We provide caring and experienced representation, helping you to create a Parenting Plan in your child’s best interests and to calculate child support following the Georgia Child Support Guidelines.

Areas where we can help you:

• Establishing Legitimation and Paternity
 • Child Custody and Parenting Time
 • Child Support Calculation

Post-Judgment Contempt

A Contempt action is needed when the other party is not complying with the existing Final Court Order, by either not following terms agreed-to in a Settlement Agreement, a Parenting Plan, not paying Child Support, or not reimbursing their part of a child’s expenses, as previously agreed or Ordered. We will guide you in your Contempt with ease and clarity.

Areas where we can help you:

 Contempt of the Settlement Agreement
 • Contempt of the Parenting Plan
 • Contempt of Child Support
 • Contempt of Uncovered Healthcare or Work-related child care reimbursement

Modification

A Modification is a post-judgment action, needed to change an existing Final Court Order. Modifications usually involve changes to Parenting Time, Custody or Child Support, where the existing Order no longer serves a child’s best interests or where circumstances have changed. We will support you through the Modification process, working to find the best fit for your circumstances.

Areas where we can help you:

 Parenting Time Modification
 • Custody Modification
 • Child Support Modification
