ATTORNEY PROFILE

Originally from Guatemala and subsequently completing her High School education in Venezuela, Paola Torselli is a fully bilingual Attorney and Mediator (Spanish/English). Living in Georgia since 1993, she graduated from Georgia State University College of Law in February of 1998. After graduating from law school, she worked for the Fulton County Juvenile Court, and was a C.A.S.A. (Court Appointed Special Advocate) in Fulton County.

Paola began her legal career as a criminal defense trial attorney. She worked with the DeKalb County Public Defender’s Office just short of 14 years, zealously representing clients charged with misdemeanors, felonies and juveniles prosecuted as adults (SB440).

In June of 2012, Paola opened her own firm, Torselli Law Firm, LLC, and began to educate herself in the area of Family Law, to grow her practice. Since then, she has successfully represented clients in cases involving divorce, legitimation, child support, modification and child custody, as well as protective orders. Paola is a caring and compassionate Family Law attorney, always working with her clients to find a successful outcome.

In March of 2021, Paola became certified as a Mediator, specializing in Family Law mediation. Her fluency in Spanish has been an asset in this new area of her career. She has assisted many parties in reaching a peaceful resolution in their cases, without the need for further litigation.

Paola is a seasoned trial attorney. Her career has provided her with extensive trial experience, always partnered with compassion and clear communication skills needed to help her clients through their cases. She works hard to reach amicable resolutions when possible, and her goal is not to litigate every case. However, if litigation becomes necessary, she is a skilled trial attorney with an excellent success rate. Paola's knowledge and ease in the courtroom have translated into a considerable advantage for her clients. She will confidently represent you in any court appearance, whether your case involves a family law or criminal defense matter.

Paola's fluency in Spanish allows for direct and complete communication with her Spanish-speaking clients, saving her client the expense of an interpreter during any meetings with their attorney.

Paola attended the prestigious National Criminal Defense College (NCDC) in 2002. She is an active member of the DeKalb County Bar Association, the Gwinnett County Bar Association, The Georgia Hispanic Bar Association, the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution, the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers (GAWL), the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (GACDL) and is affiliated as a mediator with Cobb County and Gwinnett County.
